We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at HMP New Hall. HMP New Hall is a closed category female prison based in Flockton, West Yorkshire, supporting patients ages 18+. Within this role you will be working with an established and supportive Pharmacy team, including a number of Accuracy Checking Technicians. The role will be heavily focused on dispensing, checking, and may also include structured medication reviews in the future.

The pharmacy team at HMP New Hall also dispenses the medication for HMP Askham Grange, a female open prison based in York. As part of this role you will also work closely with the team at HMP Askham Grange; this will include travelling to the site to attend safer prescribing and service meetings.

Hours Monday to Friday 8am-4pm

Salary This is a full time role with a salary of up to £55,941 per annum depending on experience

Main duties of the job

As the Clinical Pharmacist your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Ensure the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high quality prison pharmaceutical service
  • Provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring a safe and modern medicines management services
  • Lead a team of Pharmacy technicians

Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered Pharmacist - holding registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
