Overview

A Personal Support Assistant/Companion is required for 6 hours on Fridays to support a gentleman with On-Set Dementia with his hobbies and interests. The 6 hours on a Friday are fairly flexible, but preferably 9 am till 3 pm. The role includes accompanying the gentleman to activities such as a Military Veterans Breakfast Club, walks, cycling, and, when weather is poor, cinema or swimming (where help is needed to organise clothes).

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and practical support for activities and outings
• Assist with organising clothes and other tasks as needed for outings
• Support engagement in hobbies and interests aligned with the gentleman's needs

Details

• Schedule: Part-time, permanent; 6 hours on Fridays, with flexible timing, preferably 9 am – 3 pm
• Pay: £13.25 per hour with paid annual holiday (pro-rata)
• DBS required (paid by local authority)
