About the role

Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and experienced support worker looking to make a real difference in someone’s life? We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Care/Support Worker to join one of our friendly teams of Personal Assistants in the Blackburn area. This is a unique opportunity to support one of our clients, a highly intelligent gentleman with Cerebral Palsy, who truly enjoys deep and meaningful conversations and debates. He is not just a person in a wheelchair; he is an individual with a rich inner life and a desire to engage with the world around him.

In this role, you’ll be supporting the client to live independently and confidently in their own home. You’ll assist with personal care and clinical tasks, and provide companionship, helping them enjoy life through activities in and out of the home, such as walks, coffee outings, and swimming. You will help facilitate engagement with his interests, current affairs, philosophical discussions, and personal goals, fostering independence and well‑being.

If you are passionate about person‑centred care and eager to contribute to a vibrant, fulfilling life, we encourage you to apply.

It is important to be aware that our client has allergies, so you will need to be mindful of animal hair on clothing, particularly if you have pets. The use of perfume or scented body spray is not permitted. There are also dogs in the family household. You must have a full clean driving licence and be over the age of 25 to drive the client’s wheelchair‑accessible vehicle.
