Job summary

A community care service in the West Midlands is looking for a personal assistant to support various activities for an individual to maintain independence and a fulfilling lifestyle. The role involves domestic tasks, personal care, and ensuring safety within their home and community. Candidates should have care experience and valid drivers' license. Pay rate is £12.21 per hour for 10 hours a week with additional hours available.

Qualifications

• Experience in providing personal care and support.
• Ability to undertake domestic activities such as laundry and cooking.
• Driver's license required for transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with various domestic tasks and ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Support the employer's mobility and ensure their safety.
• Manage the employer's health risks while maintaining confidentiality.

Job Purpose & work Duties

• Domestic tasks e.g. laundry, housework and meal preparation.
• Shopping
• Outdoor walking/exercise
• Taking me to appointments
• Assisting with leisure activities

Supporting with

• Mobility, ensuring the employer’s safety
• Personal care
• Undertaking activities for employer
• Ensuring employer’s home is clean, hygienic, and safe

Other requirements

• Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns
• Assisting with management of employers health risks
• Establish and maintain effective communication
• Maintaining confidentiality

Location

• Within the employer's home and the local community of Dudley DY1
• 10 Hours per week. (Extra hours to cover holidays and sick leave)

Rate of Pay

(£ 12.21 per hour)
