Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity?

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!

Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

The People We Support

Let us introduce you to Ronan, Jack, Stuart:

Ronan lives in his own home in Paisley and enjoys getting out into the community and appreciates support to help him get his weekly shop in. He enjoys video games and going fishing, and has a permit to do so. Ronan’s support should be proactive, with regular prompts for him to maintain independent living. He requires support to make the right decisions.

Jack lives in Johnstone. Like Ronan he lives in his own home. Jack enjoys the companionship of support, is well known in his community and engages with many locals while out with support. He likes to go out with support for his lunch and get in some shopping, and needs a little support with keeping his home in order.

Stuart also lives in Johnstone in his own home. He is very independent and gets support in the early evening out into the community. He enjoys meeting support at his local pub where he enjoys a couple of soft drinks and a snack, then likes to return home where he will teach staff how to play his favourite game of dominoes. Stuart is also a big football fan and regularly goes to St. Mirren home games, enjoying watching games on the TV. Stuart’s requires emotional support – a little reassurance goes a long way.

That is why Ronan, Jack and Stuart need you! Will you bring your best so that they can live their best life?
