Job Purpose: An opportunity as a personal assistant has become available to support a 44-year-old lady living with a learning disability in her home and in the local community.
Location: NR1 Norwich and surrounding area.
Details:
- Meal preparation – support to learn to cook new meals from scratch
- Admin support – support to deal with any post, emails, telephone calls, forms and bills
- Support to do food shopping
- Attend medical appointments with employer, providing support to help the employer understand what is being said to her and taking notes so she can refer to them if needed
- Support to go out into the local community

Summary terms and conditions:
- The rate of pay for this position is £13 per hour
- Hours and times of work: 5 hours a week, spread over 2.5 hours on a Tuesday and 2.5 hours on a Thursday 10.30 am to 1pm
- Other duties will be discussed if/when deemed appropriate but everything that will be expected will be explained prior to acceptance of the position
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks
- Access to free training for employed workers
- If this job requires; Manual Handling, Handling of hazardous chemicals and/or Food Handling you will be required undertake annual training
The post is subject to the following:
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer
- Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months
