A community service organization in Broxbourne is seeking a Part Time Perinatal Practitioner to support families with children aged up to 5 years. This role involves delivering antenatal and postnatal programs and providing essential support services to vulnerable families. Candidates must have a Level 3 qualification in health, education, childcare, or social care and experience working with diverse families. This position offers a working pattern of Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, and requires a valid UK driving license.
Hertfordshire’s Family Centre Service is made up of aceita Fyr Public Health Nursing Service (Health Visitors and School Nurses) and the Family Support Service. Our purpose is to support children and families to have the best start in life, develop well and thrive. We provide families with children aged up to 5 years with a wide range of services, information and support on key areas relating to family life. As a Perinatal Practitioner, you will promote the engagement of all parents and families, primarily antenatally and postnatally, in the services and support available to them, both face‑to‑face and digitally, through the Family Support Service and other agencies, with a particular focus on the more vulnerable families in the community. You will engage with all parents and carers, including soon‑to‑be and young parents, while gaining a solid awareness of the local community's demographics and the networks, services, facilities, and support systems available to families in the area.

As some of our roles involve working with vulnerable members of society, this position may require a Basic or Enhanced Criminal Disclosure, which will be conducted once a conditional offer is made.
