You will operate out of the main site at Banbury but will visit other sites; a driving licence and car ownership are essential as you will need to travel throughout your working week.

You will work 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday, and participate in an out‑of‑hours rota for escalations and advice, for which you will receive additional payments.

What will you be doing as a Performance Manager
  • You will effectively lead the Health & Safety culture of the team and drive an environment where good practices are a way of everyday life and total compliance is adhered to.
  • With the impact of our operations on the environment at the forefront, you will drive improvements in the operations of your sites and the assets within them, looking at ways to change what we do for the better of all parties, mainly our customers and, of course, the environment.
  • Driving the team to achieve optimal performance in terms of work management, while developing the team and introducing new skills and Health & Safety Awareness.
  • Managing the budgetary and financial activities of the team and driving efficiencies into the overall operational budget.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management – ensuring exceptional service to our customers with early personal interventions as required.
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need is:
  • Previous experience managing operational staff with a proven track record of engaging and developing their team, ideally with field‑based members within the utility industry.
  • A strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience taking the lead and achieving results, ideally within a similar industry.
  • Significant process management experience and knowledge, with strong skills in operations, Health and Safety, and Finance.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Competence in using IT equipment/systems and the ability to interpret complex Excel spreadsheets.
  • Financial management skills and commercial awareness to identify and achieve financial efficiencies.
  • Due to the nature of this role, a full, valid driving licence is needed.
What’s in it for you?
  • Offering a salary up to £45,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience.
  • 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with length of service (plus bank holidays).
  • GymPass – a free fitness plan and access to several well‑being apps for you and up to three family members, as well as discounted plans nationwide.
  • WeCare – a variety of health and wellbeing services for you and your family, including up to 10 specialist counselling sessions, 24/7 access to a virtual GP, get‑fit programmes and access to a nutritionist.
  • Performance‑related pay plan directly linked to company performance measures and targets.
  • Benefits on Tap – access to discounts, cashback and instant vouchers.
  • Generous Paternity Leave – 4 weeks paid and an optional 2 weeks unpaid.
  • Enhanced Maternity Leave – 26 weeks full pay and 13 weeks half pay.
