About The Role

Are you highly organised, detail-focused and passionate about delivering great service? Join us as a People Services Administrator and play a vital role in supporting our People team. You’ll keep our data accurate and secure, resolve queries quickly, and help ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide confidential administrative and system support to the People Services team.
  • Maintain accurate staffing data and records, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Enter and manage data across various IT systems.
  • Administer employee benefit schemes and assist with manual calculations when required.
  • Act as the first point of contact for managers and colleagues, resolving queries or escalating where needed.
  • Use data from multiple sources to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Support team members with projects and activities to achieve successful outcomes.

Contract and Work Arrangements

This role is being offered on a full time, fixed term basis until end of November 2026, working 37 hours per week. Hybrid working is available for this role working 2‑3 days per week in the Exeter office, dependent on business need.

About The Candidate

To be successful in your application for the role of Administrator – People Services, you will have the essential skills and experience for a level 1 role (please see candidate information pack) and the following role specific skills and experience:

Essential
  • Experience of delivering administrative tasks/working in an administrative role.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and experience using integrated information systems and databases.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and ensure queries are resolved promptly.
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
Desirable
  • Experience of delivering HR support to colleagues and managers.
  • Knowledge of reporting practices and procedures.
  • Experience using HR information systems and CRM systems (e.g., iTrent).
  • Relevant CIPD qualification or willingness to work towards it.

Please note: This role is not eligible for a Cos. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the role without a CoS.
