About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our People Function for an experienced organisational development professional to drive forward key priorities within our Culture Programme.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the implementation of our new organisation wide 360° Feedback process and oversee the launch and ongoing management of our staff engagement survey. You will also be responsible for monitoring progress against our Culture Action Plan, ensuring we deliver initiatives that reflect our vision, values, and commitment to a positive workplace culture. You will lead on elements of our Leadership and Management training delivery and contribute to building the confidence of our leaders through skills development. This is a chance to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to the development of our service.

Qualifications

To succeed, you will bring strong knowledge of Organisational Development (OD) interventions and a clear understanding of how culture underpins organisational effectiveness. You will have hands on experience delivering OD initiatives, including large scale surveys and the coordination and management of 360° and other feedback processes. You will be CIPD qualified (or working towards a relevant qualification) and able to demonstrate a consistent track record of delivering programme objectives proactively and reliably. Highly motivated and organised, you will be confident in setting priorities, achieving key targets, and evaluating impact. The role requires a high degree of autonomy, drawing on your professional judgement and expertise to shape activity.

Benefits

New starters will commence on the bottom of the salary grade and will receive increases to the top of the grade on an incremental basis. We offer 28 days annual leave (pro‑rata) plus Bank Holidays. Annual leave increases after 5 years’ service to 32 days, followed by an extra day a year up to a maximum of 37 days plus bank holidays in addition to this. Most of our corporate roles offer flexi time and agile working, meaning people can vary their hours to suit their commitments outside of work as agreed with their line manager. Flexi time can be accrued with a potential of up to 13 days to be taken within a year. All eligible corporate staff are auto‑enrolled onto the Local Government Pension Scheme with contributions ranging from 5.5% to 12.5%. It is a defined benefit pension scheme that means pensions are based on salary and the length of paying into the scheme.
