What you will do
- Lead on the monthly payroll cycle and process, working seamlessly with our outsourced payroll provider to ensure accurate, timely delivery of colleague pay
- Help colleagues by making sure their people, payroll and benefits records are accurate, ensuring queries are answered quickly and efficiently
- Administer colleague participation in Company benefits and pension schemes
- Support the delivery of monthly payroll, exporting and reviewing data files and working with the payroll provider to ensure accurate running of the bank’s payroll.
- Manage day to day people processes working alongside other teams such as Recruitment and our Business Partner teams, to provide a seamless operational delivery
- Provide onboarding support for new colleagues, including the completion of background vetting and issuing contract terms of employment
- Support the People Operations Manager ensuring daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks are completed alongside regular transactional activities
- Help to improve our systems and processes, whilst utilising our HR technology and systems to maximise effectiveness and efficiency
- Be the escalation point and own queries to resolution, leading and supporting your People Operations Support colleagues

What you will need

- Understanding of people processes, policies, and basic employment law
- Knowledge of UK payroll and pensions
