Overview

Learning Advisor - UK People and Culture

Location: This role can be based at Leidos offices in Whiteley Hampshire, Glasgow, Bristol, Farnborough Hampshire; with flexibility to work from home depending on business demands.

Join us as a Learning Advisor, where you'll support over 1,350 employees and managers across Leidos UK, working with the People and Culture team and the wider business to shape an inclusive, learning culture. You will manage a variety of learning and development efforts, from training and coaching to running development events and supporting career progression. You will also collaborate with the Tech-X Academy and US Learning and Development Team, designing in-house learning programmes using tools such as Articulate 360.

What will I be doing?
  • Training Requests & Mailbox Management: Respond to training requests in a timely manner; oversee the dedicated training mailbox, coordinate sessions and resolve queries; keep accurate training records and schedules, ensuring attendees and trainers have information at every stage.
  • Training Delivery Support: Plan and facilitate virtual and in-person sessions, including workshops for soft skills development, performance development, and professional growth; provide attendee support; track and evaluate feedback for improvements.
  • eLearning Development & LMS Administration: Design, develop and upkeep eLearning materials; administer the LMS to keep content up-to-date and accessible; use usage data and feedback to improve digital resources.
  • Onboarding Programme Support: Coordinate and deliver onboarding for new employees; ensure access to relevant learning materials and sessions; collaborate with stakeholders to improve onboarding experience.
  • Promoting a Learning Culture: Support continuous learning and development; work with managers and employees to embed learning in daily work; explore creative ways to engage people in learning.
  • Coaching & Development Support: Conduct one-to-one coaching to support professional growth; guide on learning pathways aligned with goals and business needs.
  • Career Development & Continuous Improvement: Develop and update Career Discussion Guides and frameworks; collect feedback to improve tools and resources; stay current with L&D best practices.
What does Leidos need from me?
  • Experience in Learning & Development, Training Coordinator, HR Administrator, or similar role
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (such as Workday) and eLearning tools (such as Articulate 360)
  • Clear verbal and written communication; organised with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Experience supporting both virtual and in-person training; ability to build working relationships and champion learning

Desirable:

  • Passion for professional development and continuous learning
  • CIPD Level 3-5 in Organisational Learning & Development
