Overview

People & Culture Business Partner - England/Scotland

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing organisation as they look to add a People & Culture Business Partner to their team, in this newly created role.

The role

As People Business Partner, you'll act as the trusted advisor for managers and site leads across Birmingham and Scotland, with occasional travel to head office. You'll support satellite teams as they scale, embedding culture, aligning people practices, and driving high performance.

The main responsibilities
  • Partnering with leadership on workforce planning, team development and succession.
  • Driving culture and values alignment across new and existing sites.
  • Advising managers on employee relations, performance and engagement.
  • Rolling out policies, initiatives and performance frameworks consistently.
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding in line with business needs.
  • Promoting wellbeing, inclusion and a high-trust environment.
  • Analysing People KPIs to provide insights and recommend improvements.
The ideal candidate
  • Proven experience as a People/HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. Construction, engineering, or renewables sector experience is an advantage.
  • Strong UK employment law knowledge and ability to coach and advise managers.
  • Experience supporting organisational change and growth, including onboarding and site mobilisation.
  • CIPD Level 5 or above (desirable).
  • Driving license and access to a car.
