Pension System Data and Calculations Analyst – London (Fixed Term)

As a Pension System Data and Calculations Analyst you’ll contribute to JM’s mission as a world leader in sustainable technology, transforming energy and reducing carbon emissions for a cleaner, brighter future.

Role

You will help drive our goals by:

  • Support the maintenance and development of the UK pension administration system (Altair), including workflows, benefit calculations, member records, letters, and software updates.
  • Assist with data projects and reporting, such as pension dashboard implementation, scheme data extracts, GMP equalization, benefit statements, and pension increases.
  • Contribute to the transition to the new global payroll system, development of interfaces, and ensure accurate member record updates, reconciliations, and data extracts.
  • Provide ongoing support to pension projects, deliver management information, support day‑to‑day administration improvements, and carry out additional duties as required.
Key Skills that will help you succeed in this role
  • Strong knowledge of UK pension arrangements, manual benefit calculations, and experience handling large volumes of personal data, with previous systems support experience being an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with desirable skills in Power BI, advanced SQL, VBA, and experience with Altair/Axise (Heywood) pension administration systems.
  • Analytical, detail‑oriented, highly numerate, and able to work independently in a primarily home‑based role while meeting deadlines and solving problems effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, team‑oriented, flexible, and willing to take on ad‑hoc tasks as required.
