A reputable medical institution in Plymouth is seeking candidates for a fellowship in Robotic Pelvic Onco-Urology, providing in-depth training in advanced surgical techniques. Ideal candidates will have completed their urology training and demonstrate the ability to independently perform robotic surgeries. This role involves managing urological oncology patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to clinical research. A competitive salary of £73,992 per annum is offered for full-time fixed-term positions.
The Urology Department, led by Mr. Paul Hunter-Campbell, consists of 14 consultants and a team of nine middle‑grade doctors, trainees, foundation doctors, surgical care practitioners, and specialist nurses providing 24‑hour on‑call cover. Our outpatient department at the Chestnut Unit offers one‑stop clinics and the state‑of‑the‑art Da Vinci X robotic system in the Freedom Operating Theatres for robotic surgeries.
Ideal candidates will have completed urology training and are seeking to specialise further in Robotic Pelvic Onco‑Urology. The fellowship provides in‑depth experience in robotic pelvic oncology surgery, particularly radical prostatectomy and cystectomy, with the goal of enabling independent robotic surgery practice by the end of the fellowship. Experience within the UK healthcare system or an equivalent setting is desirable. Overseas applicants must be eligible for General Medical Council registration and have achieved an overall IELTS score of at least 7.5.
