We are hiring. Are you ready to work with us? If compassion, care and inclusiveness are important to you, our opportunities to work in a demanding, challenging but emotionally rewarding role could be for you. Our Turning Point Scotland Services in South Lanarkshire provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on a 1:1 basis or as part of a team.
The South Lanarkshire Alcohol & Other Drugs Reachout Service will work with the Alcohol & Drug Partnership to establish a service focused on supporting people over 16 with problematic alcohol & drug use through an Assertive Outreach and Intensive Case Management model. The service focuses on three key groups: individuals who do not engage at any level; individuals who sporadically engage; and individuals who partially engage where the focus includes medical treatment. We are committed to helping individuals begin their recovery journey using harm reduction approaches. Safety is at the forefront of care delivery, and we will include families and communities in the service’s growth to reduce stigma and improve engagement and retention within the service/treatment/pathway that works best for them.
The service will operate flexibly and creatively across the whole of South Lanarkshire and will partner with existing services such as CAReS teams and The Beacons. The service will operate 7 days a week, including evenings and public holidays. Support provided is person-centred, involving people who know the person well, including family and friends, other health and social care professionals, advocacy services and our own staff members.
Turning Point Scotland is committed to employing people with lived experience. We value lived experience and welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds.
