Job summary

A children's hospice organization based in Corfe Mullen is seeking a compassionate Nurse to join their Nursing team. You will provide exceptional care and support to children facing life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. In this role, you will deliver high-quality clinical nursing care in a supportive environment, collaborate with a variety of health professionals, and have opportunities for professional development in pediatric hospice care. Flexibility is key, as care is provided based on family needs, with a permanent contract of 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with sick children and their families.
  • Safeguarding Awareness Level 3.
  • Experience working with children who have life limiting/life threatening conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide family-centered respite care both in the Hospice and Community.
  • Support end of life care when necessary.

Skills

Experience with children with complex needs
Ability to work independently
Holistic family-centered care

Education

Registered Sick Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse (Child Branch)
Counselling training and/or care of the dying and bereaved course
ENB 998 or equivalent teaching and assessing course
