Twenty4Seven Education are working in partnership with a forward‑thinking secondary school in South Tyneside who are seeking an enthusiastic, inspiring and experienced Secondary PE Teacher to shine bright in their successful department.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate PE specialist to take the next step in their career, driving up standards, promoting a love of sport and physical activity, and ensuring all students have access to outstanding PE provision.

Your Role:

As the Subject Leader for PE, you will:

• Lead, motivate and inspire a dedicated student base to deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons.
• Oversee the planning and delivery of a broad and inclusive PE curriculum across KS3-KS5.
• Promote excellence in both curricular and extra‑curricular sport.
• Monitor student progress and drive attainment through effective assessment and feedback.
• Lead enrichment programmes, sports clubs and inter‑school competitions.
• Contribute to whole‑school initiatives around health, wellbeing, and active lifestyles.

About You:

• Qualified teacher with QTS and a strong background in teaching PE.
• An ambitious leader who sets high expectations for students.
• Skilled at developing curriculum, tracking progress and raising achievement.

Experience of leading a department or taking on TLR responsibilities would be an advantage, but we also welcome applications from experienced PE teachers ready for a leadership step up.
