Job Description

We are looking carbone for a dynamic and enthusiastic PETEACHER to join our client’s secondary school team based in Manchester. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality PE lessons to students aged 11–18, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles. The role involves inspiring students to participate in a wide range of sports, supporting theiriyey personal development, and contributing to extracurricular sporting activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare,Trademark& deliver engaging PE lessons that meet the school curriculum and examination requirements (e.g., GCSE, BTEC, A-Level).
  • Develop students’ physical skills, knowledge of fitness, and understanding of health and wellbeing.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and reports to parents and guardians.
  • Promote participation in sports and encourage teamwork, leadership, and fair play.
  • Organise, supervise, and lead extracurricular activities, sports teams, competitions, and events.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students during lessons and extracurricular activities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental schemes of work and teaching resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on school initiatives and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching PE at the secondary level is desirable.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of sports, fitness activities, and PE teaching methods.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
