PE Teacher

Location: Northumberland

Start Date: ASAP or January 2026

Full-Time | Part Time | Short Term, Permanent or Long-Term

Rate: £140 - £261.79 per day (DOE)

Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working with a number of secondary schools across Northumberland and the surrounding areas who are actively seeking a PE Teacher to join their team ASAP or from January 2026. Considering applications for temporary, short-term, part-time, full-time, and permanent positions.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Teaching engaging PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with KS5 options available in some schools)
  • Delivering a wide range of sports and physical activities to promote health, fitness, and teamwork
  • Planning dynamic lessons that develop physical literacy, resilience, and sporting skills
  • Adapting teaching to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive PE department to share resources and best practice
  • Supporting or leading extra-curricular activities such as sports clubs, team coaching, fixtures, or fitness programmes
About You:
  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) specialising in Physical Education
  • Confident teaching the national curriculum and preparing students for GCSE PE (and potentially BTEC/Sport qualifications)
  • Passionate about promoting sport, physical fitness, and student well being
  • Committed to helping all students achieve their potential
  • A team player who contributes positively to school life
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply - comprehensive induction support provided
