Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate students' physical abilities and progress
  • Develop and implement appropriate physical education curriculum
  • Organise and supervise sports activities, games, and events
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Physical Education or related field
  • Knowledge of national curriculum requirements for Physical Education
  • Previous experience teaching Physical Education at secondary level
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students
  • Strong understanding of physical education principles and practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver effective lessons
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or Physical Education
  • Experience coaching sports teams
