Overview

Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts providing acute and community care. The Paediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU) at the Royal London Hospital plays a key role in delivering specialist treatment, research, education and care for children. The PCCU is a tertiary referral centre accepting admissions from north east London and beyond, to support the increasing demand for paediatric critical care. We aim to strengthen our dynamic team by recruiting experienced, highly motivated children’s nurses with intensive care skills who have worked with critically ill children.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care of critically ill children in partnership with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Lead and develop a designated nursing team, delivering high quality, individualised family-centred care.
  • Share knowledge, experience and skills; teach junior staff; contribute to training and ongoing education.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and effective teamwork in a dynamic environment.
  • Commit to ongoing professional practice and safe, holistic care, in partnership with children and their families.
