A dynamic growing business in the Wolverhampton area is seeking a Payroll and Bookkeeping Lead to oversee payroll functions and assist with bookkeeping tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll and bookkeeping, strong organisational skills, and a passion for delivering excellence. Responsibilities include processing payroll, streamlining processes, and client onboarding. This is a permanent role with a salary between £28,000 and £35,000 based on experience.

The Opportunity

Primarily you will be responsible for the Payroll function alongside supporting with bookkeeping tasks. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing full life cycle payroll, including HMRC submissions and payment files
  • Working to streamline payroll processes
  • Bookkeeping tasks such as accounts prep, preparing VAT returns
  • Providing system support to clients
  • Assisting with client onboarding
Personal Profile

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Recent experience in payroll and/or bookkeeping
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong technical skills and an interest in automation
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
