Job summary

A local manufacturing company is expanding and seeking a Payroll Administrator to support their payroll function. The role involves processing payroll, ensuring statutory obligations are met, and providing internal reporting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have experience with payroll.

Job description

Agility Resourcing are delighted to be working with a local manufacturing company to find their next Payroll Administrator due to expansion. If you are detailed orientated and like to be busy this may be the job for you!

The main purpose of your role will be to support the payroll function by processing the day to day payroll. You will also be responsible for the preparation, processing & administration of monthly payroll for their area of responsibility complying with contractual and statutory obligations.

Your responsibilities:

  • Upload CSV files, check payslips and email and post payslips.
  • Import BACS file onto the bank for authoring.
  • Check hours are correct on emailed timesheets and enter on a spreadsheet which is forwarded to First Payroll Services for processing.
  • Process starters and leavers and any correspondence from HMRC.
  • Processing of statutory payments such as sick pay and parental leave
  • Ensure correct statutory deductions such as tax and national insurance are processed through payroll correctly
  • Internal reporting to Payroll Team Leader and Head of Payroll

Person Specification:

  • High level of written and verbal communication
  • Good understanding of Excell
  • Previous experience of Sage 200 (preferred)
  • 1 years' experience with payroll
