Payments Operational Relationship Account Manager – Middle East and Africa experience – 12 month contract – Hybrid/Remote

My blue chip client in the card payment space are looking a payments account manager /client operation relationship manager (note this is not a sales role) with experience of Middle East (UAE, Saudi, Turkey) and Africa.

To be suitable, you will have strong interpersonal skills, experience of payments including card schemes and dealing with issuers, acquirers and other networks as well as good technical understanding of payments

in this role, you will be responsible for onboarding new participants and providing operational support to issuers, acquirers, processors, and network to network partners. You will actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues to management.

Day to day you will :

  • Provide support to large strategic clients including acquirers, network-to-network partners, issuers, and processors. Research complex situations and supports participants with operations.
  • Support business development teams to expand acceptance. Onboard new franchises, issuers, acquirers, processors, and software vendors on the network. Assist with contract negotiation and due diligence.
  • Support participants through the semi-annual release process. Manage and coordinate certification. Ensure participants are in compliance with operating rules and regulations. Engage participants to support network initiatives.
  • Analyze end-to-end transaction processing, troubleshoot issues and acceptance complaints, and support issuer launches.
  • Mentor team members. Execute department initiatives. Lead the department to ensure processes and projects are well documented to meet auditing requirements.

Hybrid work: 3 days remote, 2 days in office in London. Though will be flexible if very strong candidate. At minimum must be able to get to office to meet clients.
