A leading electrical service provider is seeking a candidate for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment. You will manage your own time, liaise with customers, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety. The role requires good Microsoft Office skills and a full UK driving licence. This position offers a permanent contract with regular hours, bonus, and pension schemes.
The successful candidate will carry out In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) in accordance with the current edition of the IET Code of Practice. Produce results which meet the requirements and quality standards of clients and external accrediting bodies. Manage appliance testing in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations. Liaise with customers to ensure that the work is carried out efficiently, to customer\'s requirements, whilst limiting the disruption to their business. Sites include Schools, Hospitals, Hotels and Universities. The engineer must have an acceptable knowledge of Microsoft Office and have access to emails; once a week the successful process of downloading results must be completed and sent to the PAT team at Head Office. Job schedules will be arranged by the PAT Team at Head Office; however, the Engineer must be able to manage their own time efficiently and successfully. Maintain an acceptable time-keeping record and ensure that start & finish times are adhered to as directed by the PAT Manager. Identify, prevent, or pre-empt potential areas for customer dissatisfaction, for example arriving late due to traffic. Good route preparation and forward planning are vital.
