Sayjo Recruitment are acting on behalf of a client to recruit a

Part Time Solicitor / Legally Trained Professional to take on the Company Secretarial duties for a broad range of clients, for an established Chartered Accountancy Practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Company Secretary to join a well-established, growing firm of Chartered Accountants based in West Yorkshire. With offices in Leeds, Halifax and Wakefield areas, you will be responsible for overseeing the Company Secretarial requirements for all offices.

This firm offer a wide range of services to their clients, ensuring a well-rounded approach to assisting their clients with all their business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Liaising with companies and colleagues to obtain information of Persons of Significant Control (“PSC”) and changes in PSC for filing with Companies House.
  • Checking, completing and the filing of annual Confirmation Statements
  • Completing forms for changes of director and shareholder
  • Completing forms for changes of company name, year-end, etc
  • Assisting clients with company incorporations
  • Assisting with share issues and share transfers for clients
  • Maintaining the share registers, including preparing minutes for routine matters
  • Filing of other forms with Companies House
  • General company administration and maintenance of statutory records on the Firms client database
  • Carrying out company searches via online facilities
Requirements
  • Experience in the reorganisation of share capital, including purchase of own shares and sub-division of shares (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience in a Company Secretarial role in a professional services Firm, Accountancy or legal practice
  • Graduate, associate or fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute (formerly ICSA) (desirable but not essential)
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative, with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable dealing with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Working knowledge of CCH Company Secretarial Software preferable, but not essential
Benefits
