At Bracknell Forest, we pride ourselves on being a council which is stable and well-managed where our employees can thrive in a supportive environment. We understand the importance of a healthy work-life balance and this role is predominately office based.
As a Registrar, you will undertake a wide range of duties to support the smooth running of the department and provide cover for colleagues when needed.
We are looking for someone who is committed to delivering a high-quality, customer-focused frontline service - whether by phone, email, or in person. There will also be opportunities to work additional hours on weekends, on a rota basis, to conduct a variety of ceremonies. Additional payments will be made for these duties.
We are a small, vibrant and forward-thinking team, that provides both the statutory and non-statutory services of all aspects of registration.
We are based primarily at Time Square, but travel to all our licenced venues within Bracknell Forest to conduct ceremonies.
This role places you at the heart of significant life events, including registering births, deaths, and marriages, as well as conducting ceremonies across the borough. These are in line with the requirements set out in legislation and good practice.
You will be responsible for the delivery of all statutory and non-statutory services.
