A children’s hospice organization in Walsall is seeking a Part Time Palliative Healthcare Assistant to deliver holistic care to children and young people with complex health needs. The role involves working under the direction of a registered nurse to provide personalized care, engage children in activities, and ensure their psychological and social needs are met. Ideal candidates should have experience with children and be willing to obtain a Care Certificate. This is a part-time position offering 25 hours per week and requires some flexibility for day and night shifts.
Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust are looking for part time Children’s Palliative Healthcare Assistants for our Black Country Hospice, Walsall to deliver holistic care to children and young people with a range of complex health needs, life‑limiting or life‑threatening conditions. You’ll work 25 hours per week.

We are open every day of the year and are fully responsive to the needs of our children and young people, so we do ask for some flexibility as there will be day and night shifts.
Interviews are scheduled to be held on 20 January.
You need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role. We are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and therefore any successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check for children and will be asked to provide two satisfactory references. In addition, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of immunisation against specific diseases or confirm their willingness to receive the necessary vaccinations.
