We’re Hiring a Part-Time Outreach Dental Nurse
Competitive Salary: 29,500.00 per annum, pro rata
Location: Harleigh Road Dental Clinic, covering Outreach activities and also providing support for our Mobile Dental Unit (MDU)
4 Days per week, 30 hours

Are you passionate about making dental care accessible to everyone? We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Outreach Dental Nurse to join our team and play a vital role in delivering oral health services and supporting the delivery of dentistry via our MDU to communities across the county.
As an Outreach Dental Nurse, you’ll support a range of community-based dental initiatives, working with patients who may have difficulty accessing traditional dental services – including schools, care homes, and vulnerable populations.
About the Role
- Assist dental clinicians in delivering care in outreach settings across the county
- Support the delivery of our mobile dental services, provided from our MDU across Cornwall
- Provide chairside support during community clinics and oral health education sessions
- Ensure equipment and materials are prepared and maintained for off-site clinics
- Support infection control, patient safety, and safeguarding protocols in non-clinical settings
- Help to promote oral health through education and engagement with patients and carers
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with administrative duties related to outreach services
About You
- GDC-registered Dental Nurse
- Oral Health Education Qualification
- NEBDN Certificate in Fluoride Varnish Application
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working independently and in new environments
- Organised, flexible, and committed to delivering care in diverse community settings
- A full driving licence is essential for travel between outreach locations
- Experience in community or outreach dentistry is desirable, but not essential
