Job summary

A structural engineering firm in London is seeking a Chartered Senior Structural / Civil Engineer with a strong background in structural inspections and report writing. The ideal candidate must hold Chartered Engineer status (CEng MIStructE or CEng MICE) and have significant UK experience in assessing structural safety and defects. Work will be on an ad hoc basis, averaging 2-3 days per week. Immediate availability is preferred.

Structures Made Easy Limited is a London based structural engineering firm and is currently looking for a Chartered Senior Structural / Civil Engineer who has solid track experience in the following areas :-

• Structural inspections and written structural reports in London and surrounding counties.
• Chartership status is mandatory as either CEng MIStructE or CEng MICE. Applications without any of these titles will not be considered.
• The reports will be required for both domestic houses and higher rise building blocks. The candidate must have previous proven experience of doingsimilar work.

The applicant must have previous proven UK experience in writing structural reports related to structural safety of buildings and structural defects such as cracking, movement, subsidence related issues etc. A strong, practical experience in structural design expertise and general construction knowledge is essential along with strong technical writing skills to produce reports with precision and clarity. Please only apply if you have extensive experience that meets this particular brief and are able to carry out your own site visits in London. The work will be on an ad hoc basis, averaging 2-3 days per week. We are looking for a candidate who is motivated and willing to start & deliver work relatively quickly. There will be scope to develop this role further depending on experience and workload.
