Job summary

A reputable clothing supplier based in Leicester is seeking a part-time garment technologist to join its well-established team. The successful candidate will work on fitting and sealing samples from proto to bulk production, review test reports, and engage with buyers as well as suppliers. Candidates should have retail experience and a good eye for detail. This position offers flexible working with one day at home and two days in the office.

Qualifications

• Experience as a garment technologist, preferably in a supplier or retail context.
• Multi-product experience, focusing on jersey and loungewear.
• Ability to review and approve test reports.

Responsibilities

• Fit and seal samples from proto to bulk production.

Overview

This is a lovely opportunity to join a well established supplier with a longstanding team, as a part-time garment technologist. You will be reporting into the business manager and working closely with garment technologists and the wider business.

Responsibilities

• Fitting and sealing samples from proto to bulk production.
• Reviewing and approving test reports.
• Travel for buyer meetings and any ad hoc factory visits when required by the business.

Qualifications and skills

• Commercially minded garment technologist with experience from a supplier or high street retail background.
• Ideally multi-product experience with a focus on jersey and loungewear in this role.
• Keen eye for detail, knowledge of fabrics, and ability to liaise with suppliers concisely.

Work pattern

The role is part-time, with 1 day working from home and two days in the office.
