Events Manager

Home-based with periodic travel to Central London and event venues
Part-time (2 days a week) l One-year fixed-term contract
One-year fixed term contract, part-time
£40K FTE (pro-rata - 2 days a week)

Our client is a professional membership body delivering high-quality events, insights and engagement for its community. Events are central to the organisation’s value proposition, bringing members and stakeholders together through roundtables, consultations, webinars and networking opportunities.

The Role

We are recruiting an experienced Events Manager to take ownership of the organisation’s events programme throughout 2026. Working closely with the Chief Executive, Office Manager and Communications team, you will plan, coordinate and deliver a diverse calendar of online, hybrid and in-person events, as well as manage participation in external events.

This is an ideal opportunity for an organised, creative and proactive events professional seeking a flexible, part-time role with autonomy and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, plan and deliver the annual events calendar, including roundtables, consultation events, technical webinars and networking events
  • Manage end-to-end event delivery, ensuring events are delivered to budget, on time and to a high standard, with appropriate contingencies in place
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with speakers, sponsors and key stakeholders
  • Coordinate with the Office Manager to ensure events information is kept up to date on the organisation’s website
  • Work with the Communications team to promote events across digital channels and support the creation of promotional and sponsorship materials
  • Arrange logistics, including the delivery and collection of materials to and from venues
  • Support the Chief Executive and Office Manager with additional duties as required
Person Specification

Essential:

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality in-person, virtual and hybrid events
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Experience of working with external organisations, speakers, sponsors and stakeholders
  • A proactive self-starter, able to take ownership of the events programme while working collaboratively with staff and volunteers
  • Strong IT skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible, professional and enthusiastic approach, with tact, diplomacy and discretion

Desirable:

  • Experience using email automation platforms
  • Website editing skills
  • Copywriting or content creation experience
  • Budget management experience
  • Knowledge of the relevant industry or membership sector
