Overview

PART TIME COUPLE REQUIRED - WORCESTERSHIRE COUNTRYSIDE. We are looking for a friendly and dedicated live-in couple to help with the maintenance and housekeeping of a large country estate in a beautiful part of the Worcestershire countryside. This is a flexible, lifestyle position for the right couple, with live-in accommodation provided and no utility bills.

The location is just outside the village of Hallow, well serviced with a coffee shop, church, village shop and pubs. The estate is a few miles outside the historic City of Worcester.

Responsibilities

• Housework duties including cleaning, tidying, organising and de-cluttering rooms, some ironing and washing
• Pet care and occasional dog walking
• Companionship and care for a 76 year old lady, including assistance with daily activities
• The garden duties require physical work: mowing, hedge cutting, weeding, outside building maintenance (including painting), inside property maintenance (including painting, sanding)
• Maintaining and operating garden machinery
• Additional flexibility to support in other areas such as occasional driving (airport runs, evenings out or day trips) and kitchen assistance during entertaining (washing up, tidying, etc.)

Requirements

• Competent level of English
• Legally able to work in the UK
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check and provide references
• Competent driver with a valid driving licence
• Some previous domestic experience is helpful but not essential

Additional Information

Experience of housekeeping and property/garden maintenance is desirable but not essential. A good sense of humour, willingness to learn, and a positive, helpful attitude are essential. The typical working week is approximately 40 hours (about 20 hours in the garden and 20 hours inside the house), with Monday to Friday as a normal pattern, but flexibility is essential.
