Job summary

A retirement community in Windsor is seeking an experienced Chef to join their culinary team in a part-time capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management and be able to create traditional meals, including a roast dinner. Responsibilities include menu planning and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. This role offers a pay of £16.48 per hour with approximately 19 hours expected weekly.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in catering to the 55+ age group would be an advantage.
  • Able to cook both traditional dishes and have a flair for experimentation.
  • Strong background in food service management, including supervisory roles within a kitchen environment.
  • Experience in menu planning, inventory management, and catering services is desired.
  • Previous experience in bartending or hospitality roles is an advantage but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all food safety procedures are strictly followed according to sanitary regulations.
  • Maintain safe working conditions.
  • Follow company policies regarding handling of cash, property, products, and equipment.
  • Order products as necessary.
  • Planning menus in consultation with management.
  • Monitoring the quality of the product and service provided.
