A well-established, design-led architectural practice based in central Oxford is looking for a Part 2 Architectural Assistant or Junior Architectural Technician to join their team on a contract basis. Initially offered as a 3-month appointment, the role has the potential to become permanent depending on the needs of the practice and the ambitions of the successful candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at an early stage in their architectural career to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and relaxed studio environment. The practice has a strong track record of delivering large-scale, technically complex projects across healthcare, education, science, and commercial sectors — offering exposure to high-profile work and a wide range of design challenges.

The ideal candidate will:

Have completed their RIBA Part 2 or hold a relevant technical qualification in architecture or construction

Be confident using AutoCAD and Revit (or willing to develop their skills in BIM environments)

Have strong design and/or technical drawing skills, with attention to detail

Be a good communicator and comfortable working within a close-knit, collaborative team

Be based in or near Oxford, and available to work in-office full-time

What’s on Offer:

The chance to work on large-scale, sector-leading projects

A supportive and informal studio culture where team members are encouraged to grow and contribute

The possibility of a permanent role following the initial contract period

A great opportunity to gain valuable experience and broaden your project portfolio in a well-respected Oxford-based practice
