Overview

First things first, you'll start your day by planning your delivery route and carrying out safety checks on your vehicle. Then you'll be busy collecting and delivering parcels to households and businesses. Responsibilities
  • Plan delivery routes and carry out safety checks on your vehicle at the start of your day.
  • Collect and deliver parcels to households and businesses, delivering everything from birthday presents to vital business information.
  • Deliver with a focus on customer service and building positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Be a team player and contribute to a smooth and efficient service.
Qualifications
  • Full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address) covering up to 3.5 tonnes (Cat B).
  • Ideally a clean licence; should not have more than 6 penalty points. You will be required to show your licence at your assessment.
  • Ability to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg.
  • Naturally friendly, positive, proactive, and a good team player who can build relationships with others.
Benefits and Salary
  • Starting salary of £24,268 (£12.23 per hour) increasing to £26,758 (£13.49 per hour) on completion of 6 month probation.
  • Additional supplement of £842 per annum pro rata, nightshift allowance and excellent benefits (based on a 38 hour full time week).
  • Total package of circa £30,000 per annum, including excellent benefits (based on a 38 hour full time week with overtime).
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Working hours: Part time 9 hours per week with opportunity for overtime. Typical attendance is Saturday 08:00 - 17:00.
