Job Purpose

The role is an addition to an existing one within our design team and this opportunity comes as part of our growth plans, to develop more resource and support for the design and contracts teams. The role supports the design, development and installation of innovative playground schemes by producing high-quality CAD drawings and technical documentation. The CAD Technician will produce accurate and detailed construction drawings that support the installation of playground and outdoor fitness equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create construction drawings of playground and outdoor fitness schemes ready for installation.
• Translate designs from our bespoke in-house 3D sales software to create construction drawings for our contract team.
• Collaborate with the contracts managers, sales and wider design teams to ensure feasibility and compliance.
• Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant safety standards (eg. BS EN 1176/1177).
• Maintain drawing archives and CAD libraries to align with KOMPAN process standards.
• Identify and resolve design errors and design efficiencies, collaborating with internal teams, through clear communication and handover.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D desirable) and/or Revit (desirable).
• Experience in landscape, architectural, or product design – preferably in playground or outdoor leisure sectors.
• Understanding of levels and cut/fill desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Knowledge of UK playground safety standards is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication, teamwork and collaborative abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• You are proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
