Job summary

A leading global music business in the UK is seeking a paralegal to support its legal team. The successful candidate will review and draft various contracts, manage a contracts database, and assist in negotiations. Ideal candidates will hold a minimum 2.1 degree, possess a basic understanding of copyright law, and have a proactive approach to learning. Overview

My client is a leading global music business with a legal team in London comprising of two very experienced lawyers. Due to growth in demand for the teams expertise, they are now looking to recruit a paralegal to support their workload.

Responsibilities
  • Reviewing and drafting a range of contracts including NDAs, terms and conditions, publisher agreements, supplier agreements, artist agreements, and influencer agreements. Managing a contracts database, obtaining board approvals, facilitating the contract signature process, and ensuring that drafts and signed agreements are filed and disseminated across the business as required.
  • Engaging with teams to obtain and disseminate information required to support ongoing negotiations and to ensure that existing agreements are implemented effectively. Handling approvals and consents, where required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2.1 degree from a reputable university, a basic understanding of copyright law and a proactive, positive and curious attitude to learning. Ideally you will have experience reviewing and drafting contracts as well as experience of the music industry.
