Job description
Overview

We are recruiting Paediatrics and Neonatology trainees ST3 and above, or post‑CCT specialist trainees in paediatrics or neonatology, starting September 2026. The posts are based at Newham Hospital, Royal London Hospital and Whipps Cross Hospital, all part of Barts Health NHS Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver educational opportunities within paediatrics and neonatology, including simulation‑based training, clinical skills, lectures and bedside teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
  • Participate in collaborative projects and contribute to the Education Academy’s expansion of digital learning platforms.
  • Engage with the Barts Health Simulation Service and essential clinical skills centres to support teaching and simulation.
Qualifications
  • ST3 and above, or post‑CCT specialist trainee in paediatrics or neonatology.
  • GMC registration and NHS clinical experience.
  • Interest in simulation teaching, digital learning or educational technology.

Newham Hospital, Royal London Hospital and Whipps Cross Hospital, all part of Barts Health NHS Trust.

Simulation and Teaching

Barts Health Simulation Service has four dedicated simulation and essential clinical skills centres located at Newham Hospital, Whipps Cross University Hospital, St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London. These centres are fully equipped for simulation teaching and haptic clinical skills.
