Qualifications

• Highly developed understanding of the OT process within an acute setting.
• In-depth clinical knowledge of medical conditions affecting occupational performance.
• Good knowledge of clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Undertake assessment and treatment of children attending Great North Children's Hospital.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver the Occupational Therapy service.
• Supervise Band 5 Therapists, support staff and students.

Post-registration experience in physical health

Excellent communication skills

Organisation and time management skills

Team management skills

Knowledge of Occupational Therapy processes

Education

Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy

State registered with Health Professions Council
