Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary teams in community settings and support to training, joint visits etc. In addition, they will work with the Prescribing Support Dietitian to review appropriate provision of feeds and ancillaries.

Paediatric Dietetic Team

The paediatric dietetic team consists of 6 dietitians and a dietetic assistant practitioner providing a service to a number of specialist areas including allergy, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, neonatal unit, and home enteral feeding.

  • You should be enthusiastic, with great communication and time management skills and an ability to be flexible and have a strong commitment to teamwork.
Department and Setting

You will be joining our wider forward-thinking department of over 30 registered dietitians, dietetic support workers and admin staff, covering acute, community, paediatric and learning disability services. We have excellent admin support and take students from University of Surrey and Oxford Brookes University.

Responsibilities
  • To provide, as part of the paediatric team, dietetic services for children and young people in the community on home enteral feeding.
  • To work closely with adult learning disabilities dietitian to provide dietetic services for adults with learning disabilities on home enteral feeding.
  • The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner and act as a source of expertise in the area of home enteral feeding.
