Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Greater London seeks an experienced Paediatric Allergy Clinical Nurse Specialist for maternity cover. The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive allergy services, including nurse-led clinics and immunotherapy administration. They will also coordinate the eczema clinic and engage in service development, working within a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications

• Knowledge of anaphylaxis management.
• Experience in performing skin prick testing and/or food challenges.
• Basic knowledge and experience of allergy including diagnostic testing and management.
• Working with databases.
• Experience of health and safety issues pertaining to clinical practice.
• Knowledge and/or experience of immunotherapy.
• Experience in drug provocation testing.
• Experience of participation in service improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Undertake independent nurse-led allergy clinics.
• Lead the paediatric eczema clinic and provide specialist advice.
• Coordinate and deliver immunotherapy services.
• Lead on drug provocation challenges.
• Participate in service development and clinical governance.

Skills

Management of own caseload

Skills in respiratory management

Skills in dermatology care related to allergy

Education

RN (child) / RGN

First level registration with NMC

MSc or equivalent or working towards

Research qualification
