Job description

GI Group are working packers with a leading client in the food industry within Hillington Industrial Estate to offer an excellent opportunity for experienced packers/warehouse operators for a position as a skilled operator to become a line leader and mixing operator. The positions are ongoing temporary working on dayshift Monday to Thursday – 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and Friday 7:30 am to 2:45 pm = 39 hours per week = £12.60 per hour. Previous experience of working in food production environment would be an advantage and experience in one or more of the below sections would be preferable but full training will be provided for candidates with transferable skills and the right attitude. The work is physically demanding with, lifting and bending, working to target keeping up with other line workers. From the batch card (e.g. bag weight, type of unit etc.) and using scales, you will be required to accurately weigh‑out the appropriate quantities of each finished product and you will be required to accurately weigh‑out the necessary individual ingredients for each product batch. You will be responsible for ensuring that each blend is packed securely and correctly. You will need to operate a strict Clean As You Go policy and this must be adhered to at all times.
