Job description
Overview

We are looking for a Medical Secretary/P.A. to join the Neurology Team at WSH. The Neurology Department is made up of five consultants, an honorary consultant from Addenbrookes Hospital, a team of specialist nurses and three medical secretaries.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the team with their administration work and clinical typing.
  • Set up clinics and book up follow up appointments.
  • Liaise with the Telephone Appointments Staff to ensure clinics are set up in a timely fashion and all slots are utilised.
  • Be responsible for the consultants day to day diary, annual leave, professional leave and study leave.
  • Deal with patients with acute and long term neurological conditions, these include motor neurone disease, first seizures, Parkinson's disease etc., to provide a comprehensive personal assistant/secretarial service in support Consultants and associated medical team, ensuring the provision of an efficient and reliable service.
