Overview

Project Planner (P6) – Warrington, UK. Location: Warrington, UK. Contract: Full-time, 40 hours per week (8am–5pm).

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Planner with a strong background in Primavera P6 to join our team in Warrington. Youll be part of a well-established national infrastructure business that has recently rebranded and is delivering some of the UKs most important water and energy projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Analyse project requirements and create detailed work breakdown structures.
  • Identify potential risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture project requirements and agree timescales.
  • Produce tender stage and live project programmes using Primavera P6.
  • Conduct resource forecasting and optimisation to maximise project efficiency.
  • Support budget development and cost estimation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years experience in project planning within pipelines, oil & gas, construction, or utilities.
  • Strong knowledge of the NEC form of contract.
  • Solid expertise in Primavera P6; MS Project experience also beneficial.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage complex project schedules.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of project methodologies, construction techniques, and resource allocation principles.
