Outreach Worker required for Newham

Based: Across 3 Hubs - Newham, Canning Town, Stratford and Manor Park.

Start: ASAP.

Duration: 1 month.

Pay: £15.50 + HP / £19.50 LTD.

Flexibility required

Shift Requirements: Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Approaching and engaging with rough sleepers across Newham
• Working in partnership with local homeless services, police, and community wardens
• Linking individuals with relevant services and support pathways
• Supporting clients into temporary accommodation
• Conducting screening, assessments, recovery planning, and referrals
• Reducing drug and alcohol-related harm to individuals and the wider community
• Helping service users access accommodation, health care, substance use services, benefits and more
• Supporting social reintegration and encouraging recovery, resilience, peer support, and independence
• Working outdoors in all weather, including early mornings, nights, and weekends

About You:

You will be engaging with people who have a history of rough sleeping, substance misuse, and multiple complex needs. You should demonstrate a determined, compassionate approach and be comfortable working in challenging environments.
