Overview

Moorfields Eye Hospital invites applications for the post of Outpatient Clinic Coordinator at Moorfields Eye St Ann's. This position will also require travel to Moorfields Eye Hospital, City Road and other Moorfields North sites when required.

This post requires hours that cover the administrative duties from 08:00-16:00, 09:00-17:00, 10:00-18:00.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality clerical and administrative support as a member of one of our administrative teams.
  • Act as first point of contact for all patients, in a busy outpatient environment and in the administrative offices.
  • Perform reception duties: meeting and greeting patients on arrival, checking patients in to the appropriate clinics using the Trust's patient administration system, booking clinic appointments, and accurately recording patient data.
  • Additional administrative duties: ensure clinics are booked to profile, answer queries (by telephone and in person), filing, and supporting the Team Leaders & Clinic Manager with clinic cancellations and other administrative duties.
  • Cope under pressure in a busy working environment; maintain accuracy and attention to detail; demonstrate good computer skills; work effectively as part of a team.
  • Provide effective clinic management to reduce over-booking and help ensure a positive experience for patients.
  • Provide a professional, comprehensive and efficient reception and administration service to the Trust’s outpatient clinics based at Moorfields North satellite sites.
  • Adhere to all agreed Key Performance Indicators for data quality and provide exception reports where these are not met.
  • Respond to telephone and in-person enquiries promptly, courteously and professionally; address concerns to maintain service efficiency.
  • Explain treatment pathways to patients in simple terms when required, referring to relevant colleagues as needed.
  • Arrange transport bookings for patients as necessary.
  • Prep patients notes and support the Assistant Clinic Manager with clinic cancellations and other administrative duties.
  • To provide effective clinic management and a positive patient experience by coordinating bookings and admin processes.
