We are looking for an Outdoor Practitioner to deliver high-quality outdoor sessions that inspire children to develop confidence, resilience, and independence through hands‑on learning experiences in a natural outdoor environment. The role supports the holistic development of pupils by fostering curiosity, creativity, and respect for nature.

Key responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering outdoor sessions that are engaging, safe and tailored to the needs of pupils.
  • Encouraging exploration and play in natural environments to support physical, emotional and social development.
  • Promoting environmental awareness and teaching children to care for and respect the natural world.
  • Risk assessing activities and environments to ensure safety at all times.
  • Supporting individual needs by adapting activities for different ages, abilities and learning styles.

Pay range: NJC19-23 – £28,198.53 - £30,285.65. FTE £32,061.00 - £34,434.00. 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

Qualifications and Skills
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults and to work with students individually and in a group.
  • Ability to act calmly and quickly under pressure or in an emergency.
  • Be energetic, enthusiastic and a strong team player.
