Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Orthopaedic team, primarily based in our outpatients department.

As the Lead Orthopaedic Practitioner you will have direct responsibility for the application and removal of a variety of casting materials and for supervising Orthopaedic Technicians across three sites, ensuring patients receive a professional, efficient and compassionate service.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Orthopaedic team with outpatient care across over two sites.
  • Run consultant‑led and practitioner‑led clinics, including Virtual Fracture and Virtual Hand Fracture clinics.
  • Ensure orthopaedic inpatients have access to plaster services.
  • Support competency‑based training and continuous professional development for the orthopaedic practitioner team.
  • Support improvement projects with your skills and knowledge as required.
